Adding Users to TAFE VC VISTA

Provider administrators can now add teachers and students, in bulk, to WebCT VISTA at their Institute level. The upload will provide a WebCT ID for the individuals listed in the CSV file.

A CSV (Comma Separated Value) can be either created in Excel or Access database and exported in CSV format. Examples are provided here from Excel and can be downloaded for reference: createPerson.csv and createPerson_no_email.csv

The five columns to enter into the CSV file, from the left are:

  • student username,
  • first name,
  • last name,
  • email address, (Note: If no email address available leave this field blank)
  • password.

Note that it is strongly recommended that:

  • the student username aligns with the id used by your provider student management system.
  • student emails are included to allow full functionality within Vista.
