| The Toolbox Business Activity within the Australian Flexible Learning Framework continues to develop resources that have applicability across many sectors of training. In particular, 2011 has been a year of change.
Come along and get a preview at the new Series 14 Toolboxes as well as checking out some of the new ways we are creating content...that is, in smaller industry-specific skill sets and those that are being created as decontextualised learning objects for easier use in all sorts of training environments.

| The Toolbox learning object collection hosted by the Australian Flexible Learning Framework is Australia’s only nationally and freely available collection of web-based learning resources that have been enabled by a liberal and uniquely Australian copyright regime.
Facilitated by well designed repository infrastructure and a customised metadata schema this collection can be searched, downloaded and reused to meet the needs of a diverse range of students. Initially developed to house Toolbox learning objects this collection now holds materials from The Le@rning Federation and outputs of innovative projects for e-learning in Industry and the private training and enterprise sectors.
This seminar aims to demonstrate how resources can be discovered and reused in a way that contributes to a sustainable use of educational resources and provides a greater
variety of resources for student use. The seminar also aims to initiate a discussion about the
potential of open educational resources and the need for a national, cross sector, networked repository of OER for all Australian Educators. |
